Rockwell Collins will continue to support the production of a military test range instrumentation system under a two-year, $21.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the company will provide a second production lot of the Common Range Integrated Instrumentation System for deployment at Air Force, Army and Navy test ranges.
DoD awarded a $31 million contract to Rockwell Collins last year to build CRIIS as a replacement for the Advanced Range Data System.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center obligated the full amount of the modification from the three service branches’ research, development, test and evaluation funds in fiscal years 2016 and 2017.
Rockwell Collins will perform work in Iowa and Texas through April 5, 2019.
The second CRIIS production lot will support the completion of range activations and installations at Edwards Air Force Base, Eglin Air Force Base, Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Naval Air Station Point Mugu, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, Nellis Air Force Base and White Sands Missile Range.
