Charles River Analytics has received $750,000 contract from the U.S. Navy to create mission planning tools for unmanned-manned teaming operations.
The company said Wednesday it will produce Advanced Mission Display and Planning Tools designed to help operators monitor missions, identify response requirements and manage planning tools.
The follow-on contract will run for 18 months.
Charles River developed its AMPT application to help reduce workload and training requirements for unmanned systems operators as well as offer relational, spatial and temporal display components that can aid warfighters in multiple domains.
“Under this effort, we are developing tools to help operators by addressing the unique complexities of teaming variations across a range of missions and operational contexts,” said Stephanie Kane, a Charles River scientist and technical lead for the AMPT effort.
