Leidos to Support DHS Cybersecurity, Threat Mitigation Efforts Under $395M Contract

Leidos will provide cybersecurity and threat mitigation services in support of the Department of Homeland Security-operated facility built to monitor cyber threats across the DHS information network.

The company said Tuesday it will help DHS run the NextGen Security Operations Center under a potential seven-year, $395 million contract that was originally awarded to Lockheed Martin‘s information systems and global solutions business.

Leidos acquired IS&GS in a tax-free Reverse Morris Trust deal that closed in August 2016.

Angie Heise, Leidos civil group president, said the project will support DHS’ efforts to address the adaptive nature of cyber threats and prevent future attacks.

Contract work will occur primarily in Washington, D.C.
