Parsons will provide advisory, technical, engineering and management support services to the Missile Defense Agency‘s ballistic missile defense system under a potential five-year, $385 million contract awarded in March.
“This new contract expands Parsons’ support of the MDA’s mission to defend the U.S. and its allies against missile threats,” Carey Smith, Parsons federal group president, said in a statement released Tuesday.
Smith, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, added the company has supported the agency in the engineering, analysis, modeling, simulation and technical areas over the past four decades.
The company noted it will help MDA engineer and integrate systems for the BMDS, designed to counter ballistic missile threats of different ranges and in all stages of flight.
