Canadian Commercial Corp. has been awarded a potential $49.6 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract by the U.S. Navy to provide electro-optics sensor systems for the Military Sealift Command Situational Awareness System program.
The Defense Department said Thuesday that the MSC-EOS systems will be installed on maritime platforms of the Military Sealift Command, U.S. Coast Guard and Navy.
MSC-EOS is primarily designed to increase the visual imagery capacity for electronic systems.
The sensor can also work to support coastal observation, navigational hazard documentation, low-visibility and night navigation, friend or foe identification, real-time situational awareness, threat warning, reconnaissance and surveillance operations, DoD noted.
The Navy will obligate $281,000 in fiscal 2017 working capital funds at the time of award and work will occur in Burlington, Ontario in Canada through April 2022.
CCC serves as the Canada’s government-to-government contracting organization and offers collaborative project development, commercial advocacy and international contracting support services intended to help Canadian businesses win government contracts around the world.
