The company said Wednesday it will install network-connected sensors at Maxwell AFB and develop proof-of-concept demonstrations of smart perimeters, gate monitoring, notifications and fleet management, among others.

AT&T will work with Maxwell AFB’s command staff as well as representatives from the Air University and other U.S. Air Force personnel under the project.

The base houses the Air University, the 908th Airlift Wing, the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center’s business and enterprise systems directorate and more than 30 tenant units.
