Sofia Berger, formerly senior vice president and managing director of Louis Berger‘s business operations in Latin America and the Caribbean region, has taken a new role as senior VP of U.S. transportation market at the Morristown, New Jersey-based professional services contractor.
She will report to Nick Ivanoff, president of Louis Berger’s U.S. transportation market segment, and oversee client development initiatives in the public and private transportation sector, the company said Wednesday.
Berger will also collaborate with Mike Kirk, lead executive on public-private-partnership programs, in her new position.
She joined Louis Berger in 2012 after she previously served as an associate at McKinsey & Company and as project manager and engineer at Perini Management Services.
Miguel Zaldo will succeed her as managing director of the Latin America and Caribbean business.
Zaldo and Gabriel Borras, director of projects and development in Latin America and the Caribbean, will work together to manage project delivery, performance, quality and client relations functions in the region.
