Stan Crow, former director of Northrop Grumman‘s aerospace systems business in Japan, has been named chief executive of the company’s operations in that country.
Northrop said Tuesday Crow will report to Dave Perry, corporate vice president and chief global business development officer, and lead the company’s development, growth and partnership efforts in Japan.
Crow succeeded Jack Dorsett, who will join Northrop’s mission systems sector in the U.S.
“Stan brings extensive industry and military experience to his new role,” said Perry.
“With Stan’s leadership, we will continue to work with our Japanese partners and the U.S. government to meet [national security]Â challenges,” he added.
Northrop’s programs with Japan include the Avenger, Albatross, Tracker, Hawkeye and Global Hawk aircraft.
Crow previously served as director of international customer engagement and strategy and also led business development for directed energy at Northrop.
He joined Northrop from management consulting firm McKinsey and Company, where he worked as an associate principal and supported U.S. and U.K. technology, aerospace and defense clients.
Crow held active-duty and reserve assignments with the U.S. Air Force for 28 years and earned his master’s degree in international studies, with a specialization on Northeast Asia, from the University of Washington.
