Michael Isman, a vice president and strategic innovation group executive at Booz Allen Hamilton, has said the company unveiled a new center in downtown Washington in May 2016 as part of the firm’s investment efforts to advance innovation, Federal News Radio reported Friday.
Isman said the new Innovation Center aims to help project teams “work in an open and collaborative environment†and serves as a venue for Booz Allen to act as a “conduit†for entrepreneurs that seek to bring novel ideas into the federal government, Barbour Ulrich writes.
He noted that cyber and digital platforms are some of the technologies that he expects to flourish in the next few years and that Booz Allen has started “co-locating†innovation hubs with entrepreneurs and startups to facilitate collaboration.
“We’re putting skin in the game working with them, and then they can take advantage of the fact that not only are we able to invest in their infrastructure, in their capabilities, in the joint possibilities for us, but we’re also able to bring the potential of actual business,†Isman said of the firm’s partnerships with startups, according to the report.
