LookingGlass Cyber Solutions has rolled out a zero-touch security appliance offering designed to help users operationalize threat intelligence into an organization’s network.
The company said Tuesday the ScoutShield Threat Intelligence Gateway offers malware and phishing protection along with a capacity to quarantine already-compromised devices to prevent contact with command-and-control servers.
ScoutShield also works to help clients identify computer virus infection to prevent the spread of malicious tasking information, data compromise and additional lateral movements.
“An organization’s attack surface is continuously expanding from the time a security analyst identifies a high confidence threat to when security operations can address that threat,” said A.J. Shipley, LookingGlass vice president of product.
“Real-time remediation automation can not only bolster cybersecurity defenses but also streamline security and network operations,” noted Jon Oltsik, a senior principal analyst at ESG.
LookingGlass also designed ScoutShield to help security analysts deploy full path URL rulesets to limit mitigation action to specific hosts and applications without affecting other users within a network.
