Veris Group, which now operates under cyber risk management services provider Coalfire, has completed the review of three additional service offerings within Amazon Web Services’ GovCloud (US) platform as a third-party independent assessment organization for AWS under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
Coalfire said Tuesday the Amazon CloudWatch Logs, AWS CloudTrail and Amazon Relational Database Service MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL engines received provisional authority-to-operate from FedRAMP’s joint authorization board after they were evaluated at the high-security categorization level of the Federal Information Processing Standard 199.
The new AWS services bring the total number of the AWS GovCloud (US) service offerings that meet FedRAMP’s high-impact level security requirements to eight.
Michael Carter, vice president of governance, risk compliance and cyber readiness & engineering at Veris Group, said the P-ATO will facilitate the use of such services by software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service providers in order to equip their cloud offerings with additional security functions.
Coalfire acquired Veris Group in December in a strategy to expand its cybersecurity offerings for government and commercial sectors.
