SafeNet Assured Technologies has launched a technology platform intended to help U.S. government customers manage cryptographic keys in physical, virtual or public cloud environments.
The data security company said Monday its KeySecure for Government platform works to consolidate cryptographic keys from multiple third-party encryption platforms.
“Encrypted data is only as secure as the system managing the cryptographic keys generated by the encryption process,” said Kirk Spring, president of SafeNet Assured Technologies.
“As organizations deploy numerous siloed encryption solutions, the number of associated cryptographic keys and key stores grow exponentially,” Spring added.
KeySecure for Government is designed to also integrate with Gemalto‘s SafeNet data-at-rest encryption platforms to support cryptographic key life cycle management and centralized cryptographic operations.
SafeNet Assured Technologies sells the key management platform as a hardware or virtual appliance and said the virtual offering supports deployments with VMWare and Amazon Web Services‘ U.S. federal and commercial cloud regions.
