A new Reportlinker study predicts the worldwide market for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems will grow at a 2.85 percent compound annual growth rate through 2026 due to an increasing demand for interoperable and integrated systems.
Reportlinker’s “Global C4ISR Market 2016-2026” report also forecasts the land-based systems segment to dominate the C4ISR market that also covers airborne systems, naval systems and space-based systems categories, the company said Jan. 11.
C4ISR competitors from the North American region will account for 44 percent of the entire market, which includes players from the Asia-Pacific region such as China, India, Japan and South Korea as well as European region market shareholders from Russia, France and the U.K.
The demand for land-based C4ISR systems is projected to rise due to implementation and deployment of network-centric warfare principles that Reportlinker said can affect the need for battlefield command systems, data and communication security systems and sensors for surveillance and observation platforms.
