The Hawaii Transportation Department has awarded Parsons a potential five-year contract to continue to provide roadside assistance services on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
Parsons said Monday offers motorist assistance, traffic incident response support and roadway debris removal services along 29 miles of Oahu freeway through the island’s the Freeway Service Patrol program.
Honolulu’s city and county police, fire, emergency, medical service and transportation services departments support the program in efforts to increase highway safety and reduce traffic congestion.
The company will also provide vehicle acquisition, dispatch and maintenance, staffing and training services to the FSP program.
The contract has three base years and two one‑year renewal options.
