L3 Technologies‘ WESCAM subsidiary has received a set of contracts worth more than $90 million combined to provide electro-optical/infrared imaging systems to multiple U.S. and international defense customers.
The contracts cover the supply of MX Series EO/IR systems to the U.S. Navy, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command, Thailand’s navy and Australia’s air force, WESCAM said Tuesday.
WESCAM will deliver MX-10MS maritime sensors for the Krabi-class offshore patrol vessels of Thailand’s navy under a contract from Thai firm Viriyakit.
AFSOC ordered L-3’s MX-20D EO/IR designating systems for installation on the AC-130J Ghostrider aircraft that will replace the command’s AC-130U/W gunships.
The company will also provide mission management console, communications suite, fire control equipment and precision-guided munitions delivery support for AFSOC.
WESCAM’s MX-20 EO/IR imaging systems will also support the P-8A multi-mission maritime aircraft operations of the Navy and the Australian air force.
More than 113 agencies worldwide currently use L-3 technologies, WESCAM added.
