Getac has received an order for 3,750 S410 semi-rugged notebook computers from the U.S. Army‘s product management team for Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care.
The MC4 team will adopt the notebooks to capture medical treatment data in operational environments and provide a lifelong electronic health record to service members, Getac said Tuesday.
Scott Shainman, president of Getac, said the S410 will work to help the military branch create, maintain and update soldiers’ medical records.
The Army established the MC4 program to equip the military personnel with tools to record and transfer healthcare data from the ground to medical treatment facilities worldwide.
MC4 also bought 7,000 S400 semi-rugged notebooks in 2014.
