Eaton has joined iShow‘s NextGen Home Experience program to help promote an Energy Department initiative that seeks to encourage the construction of energy-efficient homes.
The company said Friday it will provide Halo light-emitting diode units for the 2017 NextGen First to the Future online television series and supplied Halo Surface LED Downlights for the tiny home project in support of DOE’s Zero Energy Ready Home program.
“We are pleased to again join the NextGen Home Experience in demonstrating the technologies currently available to build single- or multi-family homes that help increase safety and security, reduce energy costs and save time and money,” said Brad Paine, vice president and general manager of Eaton’s lighting division.
Eaton’s LED lighting and residential building products such as breakers, USB receptacles, generators, switches and sensors will be featured at the 2017 National Association of Home Builders International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida, through Thursday.
Sam Rashkin, chief architect of DOE’s Building Technologies Program will be a special guest at the event.
