Airbus will produce and deliver nine H145M helicopters and associated logistics support to Serbia’s government under a contract signed with the country’s interior and defense ministries.
The defense ministry said Wednesday the helicopters will help the Serbian air force and police conduct transport, search and rescue, combat, medical evacuation, surveillance and security missions.
Airbus will also provide spare parts, tools and documentation, maintenance and repair services, equipment, training and Certification of Aeronautical Plant Moma Stanojlovic as center for maintenance of Gazelle helicopters.
The company will also work to help Serbia-based manufacturing plants and a research institution to obtain qualifications and certifications as part of the agreement.
