The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded RRDS a 10-month, $10 million firm-fixed-price contract to provide bullet resistant panels to nearly 900 military recruiting stations across U.S. states and territories.
RRDS said Wednesday it will produce, deliver and offer warranty and installation services for UL-Level 8 cubicle panels designed to comply with set safety, durability, dimensions, design, ergonomics and structural standards under USACE’s Recruiting Facilities Program.
“We are honored to be selected for this critical program; there are several moving parts involved with its execution, and our team is well equipped to maneuver these based on our mission specific expertise,” RRDS CEO Troy Barnes said.
Samir Naqvi, RRDS president and head of supply chain, said the company has previously supplied bullet resistant panels to various military recruiting facilities nationwide in efforts to help ensure the safety of service members.
