Raytheon has received a one-year, $34.3 million contract option from the U.S. Navy to provide life cycle engineering and support services for the integrated shipboard electronic systems on San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ships.
The Defense Department said Friday the exercised option covers post-delivery planning, homeport technical support, integrated product data environment, data maintenance, equipment management, systems integration, software support and research and design engineering support for integrated electronic systems.
Work will occur in San Diego, California; Norfolk, Virginia; Mayport, Florida; Pascagoula, Mississippi; and Sasebo, Japan through December 2017.
The Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $7.6 million at the time of the award from the Navy’s fiscal 2012, 2015 and 2016 shipbuilding and conversion; fiscal 2016 and 2017 “other” procurement; and fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds.
