Northrop Grumman has received a one-year, $22.8 million contract to provide engineering and logistics services to the air dominance department within the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Port Hueneme division.
The Defense Department said Tuesday the contract covers engineering, test and evaluation, computer programming, materials management and specified logistics support to the Aegis combat system and other weapon programs.
Northrop will also perform work at shore sites, land-based test locations, shipyards and aboard ships in ports and at sea for U.S. allies and foreign military sales customers through January 2018.
The contract has a base value of $15 million and combines purchases by the Navy and the governments of Norway, South Korea, Spain, Bahrain, Italy, Australia and Japan under the FMS program.
The Navy will obligate $60,000 in fiscal 2017 “other” procurement funds at the time of award.
