Engility has secured a potential $16.8 million contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs to operate, update and maintain a government-owned off-the-shelf application that works to help VA manage programs and operations.

The company said Friday the contract contains four 12-month option periods with optional tasks for software upgrades in support of VA’s Budget Tracking Tool.

“We value the opportunity to continue working with the VA as they deliver important services to our nation’s 22 million veterans and their families,” said Engility CEO Lynn Dugle.

BTT was delivered to VA’s Office of Information and Technology in 2005 and currently supports planning, budget, programming and execution lifecycle functions at the department.

Engility said the tool helps department officials and analysts access PPBE information through a web-based platform with a centralized data repository designed to accommodate multi-user access and user permissions.
