Andrew Ziskind, formerly managing director for healthcare transformation at Huron and a partner at Accenture, has joined Premier Inc. as senior vice president of academic strategy.
Ziskind brings more than 25 years of experience in clinical and administrative functions to help academic health systems align their methods with future integrated population health management and alternative payment models, Premier said Monday.
Academic health systems aim to provide healthcare to patients with highly complex conditions.
Susan DeVore, president and CEO of Premier, said Ziskind’s academic health systems background supports the company’s efforts to offer services meant to test and scale transformational academic care models.
Ziskind previously served as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, an adult teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine.
He was also the group president and senior VP for healthcare reform for BJC Healthcare and vice dean for clinical affairs and the associate vice president for clinical programs at the University of Washington.
Ziskind was previously the director of the University of Maryland Cardiac Network and the VP for clinical services of UniversityCARE.
