Thomson Reuters has unveiled an application on its Eikon desktop product that will work to offer users market data, news, commentary and analysis before and after the U.S. election Nov. 8.
The election app is designed to provide analysis and visuals on segments of the capital markets such as foreign exchange, equities, fixed income and commodities, Thomson Reuter said Wednesday.
“U.S. presidential elections traditionally create short and long-term ramifications for all segments of the global economy and the financial markets,” said Debra Walton, a global managing director at Thomson Reuters.
Walton added the app will support customers’Â investment decisions through a portfolio of news, data and analysis.
Eikon is a desktop and mobile platform that works to provide news, analytics and data visualization tools to inform users’ trading and investment decisions, the company noted.
Thomson Reuters also offers Eikon Messenger in efforts to connect customers to a community of more than 300,000 financial professionals.
