Tetra Tech has received a five-year, $47 million contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development for assistance in USAID’s efforts to boost legal and policy frameworks that govern municipalities in the West Bank and Gaza.
The company said Monday the single-award Communities Thrive contract will cover support for local government work that includes water meter updates, analysis and adaptation of new energy strategies and implementation of tariffs to fund long-term project needs.
“Tetra Tech is pleased to support USAID’s efforts in the West Bank and Gaza to improve local government delivery of essential water and energy services to communities in need,†said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech chairman and CEO.
Local governments in West Bank and Gaza aim to attain financial sustainability in Palestinian municipalities, Tetra Tech noted.
