Qualys‘ cloud platform has received an authority-to-operate from the Department of Health and Human Services under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program as the company seeks to expand its footprint in federal civilian agencies.
The company said Thursday the Qualys Cloud Platform provides more than 9,200 organizations an integrated suite to support asset discovery, compliance monitoring, network security, threat protection and web application security functions.
Philippe Courtot, Qualys chairman and CEO, said the federal government has accelerated its move  toward cloud-based systems in a push to achieve cost reduction goals.
Courtot added the ATO will help the company offer its cloud-based security and compliance platform to help government agencies gain capacity for visibility across global information technology assets and a continuous view of security and compliance postures.
