Octo-Consulting-logoOcto Consulting Group has secured a potential three-year, $5 million contract from the U.S. Army‘s medical communications for combat casualty care product management office to support the service branch’s military health records system modernization project.

The company said Thursday it will develop a medical information system for the Army to manage electronic medical records of service members as well as provide knowledge management, strategic communication planning and outreach support to MC4 PMO.

Octo noted the contract also covers web properties support, acquisition management, program management and business process improvement services.

“We are honored to work hand in hand with the U.S. Army to support a critical health IT system that ensures the level of care that matches our service members commitment,” said Octo Consulting Group CEO Mehul Sanghani.

“We look forward to providing the digital services needed to take the military health system into the future.”

The MC4 semi-ruggedized system-of-systems infrastructure comprises medical software packages designed for operational medical forces and helps service members gain access to medical benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The contract has nine base months and two 12-month options.
