Maximus plans to invest $1.87 million to build a customer support center in Hampton, Virginia that will support the company’s government contracts across the U.S. and expects the project to create about 189 jobs in the city, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s office announced Wednesday.
“When we searched for a location for our new customer support center, the Hampton and Hampton Roads region was a natural fit due to its robust pool of qualified candidates,” Maximus CEO Richard Montoni said.
McAuliffe’s office added the company could also receive state benefits through the Virginia Enterprise Zone Program as well as employee training funds and services through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
The City of Hampton and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked together to win Maximus’ customer support facility construction project for the state.
