Vencore will provide engineering support and examine the interoperability and functionality of cyber operations systems and related services at tactical, strategic and operational levels under a potential five-year, $135 million contract with the U.S. Navy.

The company will also perform research and development work, as well as evaluate, demonstrate and transition cyber platforms for the service branch’s Space and Naval Warfare Command Systems Center Pacific, Vencore said Wednesday.

Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Vencore and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2016, said the company will work to leverage its experience in cyber operations through the contract in support of SPAWAR’s mission.

The contract also covers concept development, technical and operational support, requirements analysis, operational exercise construction and feasibility demonstrations.

Vencore is one of the seven companies that won separate indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts from the Navy for cyberspace research and technology integration support in September.

The company’s cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a base value of $80 million and a base term of three years and two option years.
