Behavioral attack detection company LightCyber has formed an advisory board consisting of Timothy Murphy, president of Thomson Reuters’ special services unit; Dave Shackleford, an analyst at SANS Institute; and Amir Orad, CEO of Sisense.
LightCyber intends for the advisory board to pursue new market opportunities and advise the company on the technical aspects of the business, LightCyber said Tuesday.
“Our new advisory board has broad experience and reach into the cyber security industry and is helping us usher this new era of security analytics into the market,” said Gonen Fink, CEO of LightCyber.
Murphy is a former FBI deputy director and chief operating officer, with responsibility in counterterrorism, counterintelligence, criminal investigations and cyber and intelligence programs.
He is also a member of the Police Executive Research Forum, the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the State Department‘s Overseas Security Advisory Council.
Shackleford is the owner and principal consultant of Voodoo Security and an analyst at SANS after previously serving as chief security officer at Configuresoft and chief technology officer at the Center for Internet Security.
Orad served as CEO of financial and cybercrime analytics firm Actimize before he joined Sisense and previously worked as executive vice president for products at Cyota, where he was a co-founder.
