James Rousell, a 15-year veteran of Jacobs Engineering, has joined Louis Berger as vice president and managing director for the U.K. operations of the professional services contractor.
Louis Berger said Thursday that Rousell will prepare, implement and deliver operating plans intended to support the company’s project delivery, financial performance and growth initiatives in the U.K.
He will report to Jesper Damgaard, Louis Berger senior VP and managing director for Europe.
“James brings a robust and successful track record of developing and overseeing broad business development operations,†said Tom Topolski, president of Louis Berger’s international operation.
“His expertise preparing, implementing and delivering business development and strategic sales strategies, maintaining and ensuring client networks, and supporting strategic and major pursuits is well suited to support Louis Berger’s business development goals for Europe,” Topolski added.
Rousell previously held senior business development positions at Jacobs and helped grow the construction services firm’s infrastructure business in Australia, North America, U.K. and the Middle East during his career there.
He also worked in environmental management for the British defense ministry and private waste management companies.
