General Atomics‘ aeronautical systems unit will offer its unmanned Angel One aircraft to assist humanitarian food and medical supply delivery efforts across the world
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems said Monday the aircraft will work to deliver at least 8,500 pounds of daily ration packets to inaccessible locations such as those affected by war or natural disasters.
Angel One features an internal bay door release mechanism to support the even distribution of rations and likelihood of retrieval by civilians in need.
GA-ASI added that the aircraft is designed to conduct three three-hour missions per day and make two separate drops per mission.
