FireEye has begun to offer its threat intelligence platform through a Microsoft service intended to help enterprise customers detect, investigate and respond to attacks against their networks.
Customers subscribed to Microsoft’s Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection service can access FireEye iSIGHT Intelligence‘s Indicators of Compromise and WDATP can alert customers when these indicators are found on their computers or networks, FireEye said Thursday.
WDATP works to provide information on the attacker’s profile such as main motivation, related tools, target sectors and geographies, description of the actor and how they operate.
FireEye designed its iSIGHT platform to qualify threats based on the attacker’s intents, tools and tactics.
The security company also unveiled its Cloud MVX and MVX Smart Grid network security products that work to simplify and integrate security for large, distributed enterprises and mid-market organizations.
MVX Smart Grid is designed to provide a flexible and scalable deployment architecture through a hybrid or private cloud and support efforts to secure campuses, branch offices and remote users through FireEye’s MVX engine and Smart Nodes, FireEye said in a separate release.
MVX engine works to deliver automated threat detection and blocking through machine learning and analytics while Smart Nodes analyzes internet traffic in efforts to detect and mitigate threats using various techniques.
Cloud MVX is built to support public cloud deployment of MVX engine to help organizations transfer threat detection to the cloud, FireEye noted.
