Microsoft has added five offerings to Azure Government Cloud‘s provisional authorization-to-operate under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
The FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board approved the company’s move to add Service Bus, Notification Hubs, Site Recovery, StorSimple and Backup to Azure Government’s P-ATO at the “High Impact Level,” Microsoft said Tuesday.
There are now 18 Azure Government offerings that meet FedRAMP’s high baseline requirements, Microsoft noted.
Service Bus works to provide cloud-based communications to connect on-premises platforms with the cloud and Notification Hubs is a mobile push notification engine designed to send millions of notifications to a range of devices.
Site Recovery is built to automate the recovery of services in case of a site outage at the primary data center, while StorSimple provides hybrid cloud storage for enterprises in efforts to meet the needs of performance- and capacity-centric applications.
Backup is a backup-as-a-service platform that works to extend on-premises tools with cloud-based tools.
