CGI-logo-ExecutiveMosaicCGI has opened a new security operations center in Toulouse, France, in effort to expand the company’s global security footprint and address the security demands of customers.

The new center is intended to help customers manage the security of their networks and respond to security incidents, CGI said Nov. 22.

Jean-Michel Baticle, president of CGI’s operations in France, Luxembourg and Morocco, said the opening of the SOC is in line with the development of the company’s cybersecurity services amid a changing security environment.

CGI cited its Global 1000 outlook that indicates business and technology officials across industries consider security as the top two challenge within their organizations.

According to the report, organizations face the challenge to update industrial information systems, keep pace with agile approaches for security integration into plans and projects and comply with future European regulations on continuous monitoring.

Other challenges include the integration of security into the adoption of connected devices, the increased connectivity of industrial control systems and adoption of identification and authentication services.
