CGI has received a potential five-year, $7.2 million contract to help the Government Accountability Office transition GAO’s financial management, budgeting and procurement systems to a cloud infrastructure.
The company said Wednesday it will use the Momentum enterprise platform within the Legislative Branch Financial Management System shared services environment to support GAO’s cloud migration effort.
Momentum is part of the government’s initiative to optimize information technology services, CGIÂ added.
The LBFMS shared services model works to help agencies address cost and redundancy issues associated with the acquisition, development, implementation and operations of management systems, CGI noted.
CGI currently supports 85 government agencies and the company’s Momentum customers include the departments of Justice and State as well as the Federal Judiciary and the Agriculture Shared Service.
