Bloomberg Business Week magazine featured Ensco‘s homeland security platforms and an interview with Chief Strategy and Technology Officer Scott Goldstein in an article published Oct. 31.
The article provided details on the company’s threat assessment efforts, the MicroSearch human presence detection system, CBRNe warning and decision support platform and contract work in bio-threat detection and sensor optimization.
Goldstein told Bloomberg violent actions could harm oil and gas manufacturers, power companies, hospitals, banking and organizations that control waterways or manage venues that attract large crowds.
He added the private sector plays a role in threat prevention since new homeland security threats are not confined to “familiar” targets such as airports, public transportation and federal buildings.
Ensco provides engineering, science and technology systems for the defense, transportation, aerospace and intelligence sectors.
