Phase One has been selected to support a mobile management tool Amtrak will use to manage processes at Chicago’s Union Station.
Phase One said Friday it will leverage the company’s Salesforce application expertise to help Amtrak manage train turn-around times and streamline the station’s operations.
Yard personnel will use the tool to schedule the preparation of each train for departure and supervisors will inform the yard master about the completion of activities.
Jodi Huston, a vice president of Phase One, said the project is the result of the collective work on demonstrations, presentations and proposal submissions by many people over the past year.
Phase One will also support a volunteer management system update at the Interior Department as well as projects to develop a citizen relationship management tool for the State Department and an integrated digital ecosystem for the  U.S. Capitol Police.
