Virginia Electric and Power Co. has been awarded a $23.4 million contract to perform electricity distribution and supply services for the Pentagon and other government facilities located in Northern Virginia.
The company will carry out work in Arlington and Alexandria, Virginia, through Aug. 21, 2018, the Defense Department said Friday.
The Washington Headquarters Services obligated fiscal 2017 Pentagon reservation maintenance revolving funds at the time of award.
Herndon-based Virginia Electric and Power Co. operates nearly 6,500 miles of electric transmission lines in North Carolina and Virginia.
