Unisys has introduced an information management system the company designed to help law enforcement agencies exchange investigative intelligence across multiple applications.
The company said Tuesday its Digital Investigator platform features a public portal that will connect users to public safety agencies to report missing persons, request appointments and receive request updates.
Mark Forman, global public sector head at Unisys, said the company developed the system in an effort to help police departments to manage numerous forms of data across multiple lines of inquiry and link different pieces of related information.
Digital Investigator is an updated version of Unisys Law Enforcement Application Framework and a key tool of Unisys’ Safe Cities portfolio.
Unisys added that Digital Investigator is designed with social media analytics integration technology; browser-based application for total information management; a tool to create reports and other documents; search engine functions; and on-premise and cloud-based deployment options.
