Information Innovators Inc. has received a five-year, $28 million blanket purchase agreement to provide operations and maintenance services for the Food and Drug Administration‘s Dashboards and Analytics program.
Triple-i said Monday it will support O&M, development and modernization efforts aimed to help FDA centers meet the objectives of the agency’s transparency initiatives.
The company will develop public and internal facing dashboards for the agency to analyze data and model master data sets and visualize information as well as extract, clean or access data with web and mobile applications.
Ted Schmitt, manager of Triple-i’s agile development solutions division, said the company will provide a cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf platform that will work to allow FDA to utilize modern data visualizations to communicate with the public.
The company and the agency will also collaborate to identify new methods to combine, evaluate and display a larger pool of data sets under the program.
FDA aims to expand its dashboard platform to help agency leaders manage data quality and monitor public health trends as well as to increase the agency’s partnership with other federal, state, local and international agencies.
