Textron Systems‘ unmanned systems business unit has unveiled a new portfolio of multidomain control and collaboration technologies that work to help customers gain situational awareness and share information.
Textron said Monday the Synturian suite includes the Synturian Control technology the company designed to integrate with different platforms or vehicles as well as the Synturian Remote system equipped with mobile and network-strengthened tools.
Wayne Prender, vice president of control and surface systems at Textron’s unmanned systems business, said the company developed Synturian based on feedback from unmanned technology customers.
Textron noted Synturian’s intuitive interface was tested on an optionally piloted aircraft and an unmanned aircraft system.
The company works to integrate the Synturian family with the Textron-built Shadow and Aerosonde UAS platforms.
Textron also plans to integrate Synturian with the company’s Common Unmanned Surface Vessel unmanned surface system.
Synturian Remote’s remote terminal function was also tested in conjucntion with Shadow, Aerosonde and the special missions platforms of Textron’s aviation segment, the company said.
