The U.S. Air Force has awarded Technica a potential four-year, $22 million task order to help the military branch test the cyber readiness and security of its weapons and operating systems.
Technica said Wednesday it will provide airborne networking, systems, processes and operations and network defense support services to the Air Force’s Combined Air Operations Center-Experimental in Virginia.
The company will also work to update the CAOC-X data storage infrastructure, leverage predictive data analytics technology to help the center address cyber vulnerabilities and standardize systems management processes at the facility.
Miguel Collado, Technica president and CEO, said the company also seeks to help the Air Force manage mission readiness and assurance of networks and systems that support military and national security efforts.
He added that the CAOC-X is built to manage the command and control of U.S. airpower in 20 nations.
The center evaluates platforms fielded throughout Air, Space, Joint and Combined Air Operations Centers worldwide.
The task order, which contains one-year base period valued at $4 million and three option years, was awarded through the NETCENTS–2 Network Operations Small Business contract vehicle.
