Raytheon has agreed to integrate its Multi-Spectral Targeting System with Logos Technologies‘ wide-area motion imagery technology to produce a new sensor system intended for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
The integrated sensor offering will work to help military ISR operators gather multi-sensor data to detect, recognize and identify targets in near-real time, Raytheon said Wednesday.
The technology will be designed to support WAMI, multispectral full-motion video, hyperspectral imaging, signals intelligence, light detection and ranging.
“Combining high-resolution FMV, wide-area motion ISR and other sensor modalities delivers an unparalleled advantage in real-time processing and data exploitation,” said Fred Darlington, vice president of ISR systems at Raytheon’s space and airborne systems business.
Raytheon said Logos’ WAMI technology was deployed to Rio de Janeiro as part of security efforts during the 2016 Summer Olympics.
