Raytheon held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday to mark the completion of a multimillion dollar renovation project at the company’s systems modernization and sustainment facility in Indianapolis, 13 WTHR reported Thursday.
Bruce Kopp writes the building underwent a facelift and internal updates during the renovation process that commenced in early 2015.
Raytheon develops soldier-worn computers as well as performs weapons system sustainment, systems engineering and supply chain management support for military and commercial customers at the facility.
The company aims to create 250 new jobs at its Indianapolis hub, according to the report.
“Partnering with state and municipal leadership, the company committed to move operations from two different locations on the east and west coasts into this central site and renovate the facility, generating opportunity for long term growth,” Raytheon said in a statement.
