Data Device Corp. has received a contract from Oshkosh‘s defense business to supply solid-state power controller and distribution units and modules for the U.S. Army‘s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle program.
DDC said Tuesday the SSPC is designed to offer network control, programmability and autonomous operation to help crew members focus on mission-required tasks as well as channel paralleling, controlled rise and fall times to support load protection and power distribution.
“We look forward to serving the power needs of soldiers and marines using the JLTV… as we have for military ground vehicle programs for more than 25 years†said Jim McCormick, product line director of DDC’s power solutions business.
Oshkosh Defense secured a $42 million order in September for additional units of the Humvee replacement JLTV, along with installed and packaged kits to the U.S. Army.
