United Technologies Corp. subsidiary Hamilton Sundstrand has been awarded a $9.2 million delivery order to repair the constant frequency generator of V-22 planes operated by both the U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps.
The Defense Department said Friday the generator is currently used on the Marine Corps’ MV-22 and Air Force’s CV-22.
Hamilton Sundstrand will perform work in Rockford, Illinois, through September 2017.
The U.S. Navy will obligate the full contract amount from its fiscal 2017 working capital funds at the time of award.
The branch received one bid for the contract through the Federal Business Opportunities website and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website.
