Leidos has been selected to field a forecasting tool at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to support operations management functions at the airport’s terminal 4.
Leidos said Tuesday the Beontra-built Operational Terminal Prediction platform works to consolidate flight data from airport operational databases and airlines to help terminal personnel predict passenger flow and perform resource planning activities.
Mark Cooper, managing director of transportation at Leidos, said Beontra’s OTP platform will work to provide predictive management and data analysis functionalities to airport terminal operators such as JFK International Air Terminal.
JFK airport’s terminal 4, which accommodates over 70,000 passengers on a daily basis, also partnered with Leidos in 2015 to install a queue management tool that works to display passenger waiting time, density and journey time.
Data from the queue management system could be integrated with Beontra’s OTP to facilitate forecasting and decision-making processes.
