Minuteman IIILockheed Martin has submitted its proposal for the U.S. Air Force’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile replacement program and named the companies that will work as subcontractors on the program, the National Defense Magazine reported Thursday.

Vivienne Machi writes John Karas, a vice president and ground-based strategic deterrent program manager at Lockheed, said in a media call that Lockheed will collaborate with General Dynamics on the GBSD’s command-and-control systems and work with Draper Labs on the guidance navigation platform for the ICBM program.

The ICBM program seeks to replace the service branch’s Minuteman III ICBM system and update the GBSD’s C2 platforms, Machi reports.

Karas also noted that Aerojet Rocketdyne and Orbital ATK will compete for the propulsion development subcontract, while Moog and Bechtel will respectively work on control systems and launch systems support.

The report noted that Northrop Grumman and Boeing also submitted on Oct. 11 their bids for the program in response to a request for proposals issued in July.
