Former Defense Department acquisition leader Kenneth Krieg has joined the advisory board of government services contractor American Systems.
American Systems said Monday Krieg will work with a group of former industry leaders and government officials to aid the company’s efforts to support government programs in the areas of test and evaluation; training; enterprise information technology; engineering and analysis; and acquisition and lifecycle services.
Krieg served as defense undersecretary for acquisition, technology and logistics from June 2005 until his retirement in July 2007.
“To have someone with [Krieg’s] credentials providing insight and advice to our senior leadership adds another advantageous element to our growth strategies in the federal and defense sectors,” said American Systems President and CEO Peter Smith.
Krieg’s government service career includes roles at the White House, the National Security Council Staff and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Krieg also held a senior executive role at International Paper Corp.
